PRAYER WARRIORS

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. - Philippians 4:6

New Victory strongly believes there is power and strength in prayer. God hears all, sees all, and brings his people comfort through answered prayers. At New Victory, we strive to not only be a church with a prayer ministry, but to be a praying church. The people of New Victory consider it an honor to support each other and the needs of the church through prayer. We desire heartfelt, honest time to share our concerns with God.

In 2005, Twana Curtis began the Prayer Warrior ministry at New Victory. She was called into this ministry by her desire to do something good and benefit the church through her computer. After many prayers, the Prayer Warrior ministry of prayer requests through e-mail began. The goal for this ministry is to above all serve God, but it also serves as a method for the church as a whole to stay informed of each other's needs. Prayer Warriors sends the message that New Victory loves people and sincerely wishes to help lift up their requests to God.

How it works is simple. Twana receives prayer requests through e-mail or telephone calls and then forwards them out to all the prayer warriors in order to help pray for those needs. Unspoken requests can be sent out as a general prayer request. Confidentiality can also be respected if you choose to not be named through your request.
